Walking with Dinosaurs Production Comes to North America

The thrilling production, Walking with Dinosaurs, is returning to North America this summer, and will include a four day run in Vancouver in August. Narrated by paleontologist character "Huxley," the performance features fifteen life-size mechanical dinosaurs in two acts of live theater.

The show is based on the 1999 award-winning BBC television series of the same name. Well-known designers worked with scientists to accurately recreate the impressive creatures for the live show. The enormous cast includes a thirty-six foot tall Brachiosaurus and a forty-two foot long Tyrannosauras Rex. Along with the mechanical aspects that allow the dinosaurs to walk around, the roaring sounds and dramatic lighting bring the once thriving animals back to life.

The performance guarantees to captivate audiences of all ages. The producer of Walking with Dinosaurs, Carmen Pavlovic, is quoted as saying, "It is the closest you'll ever get to experiencing what it was like when they walked and ruled the earth."

The North American leg of the tour begins this week, June 23 at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. The tour will cover ten cities, and over thirty-five dates. The final days of the tour will take place in Los Angeles, California at Staples Center.

About the author: For Immediate Release:

ShowTimeTickets.com CEO and Founder, Mario Livich explains, "Compared to the average country show with a face value of to for plaza level seating,it's an expensive concert and with more than one show, the demand we initially experienced has faded, similar to the market we recently experienced with the three Police shows. But the fact that Tim and Faith have not performed together in Canada since 2000, along with overwhelming reviews (the first Soul2Soul tour was named Pollstar Magazine's 'Major Tour of 2006') and below face value pricing, I think fans coming to town from all across the province are happy to hear there are still tickets available and affordable.

  2. QUESTION:
Are you going to dress your dog up for Halloween?
We got our costumes yesterday. Rylee is a dinosaur (so cute!) and Bailey is a prisoner! (he wasn't having any of it!!)
My boyfriend hates dog clothes, but I got him to agree since it's a special occasion. :)
Most of you are wonderful people, and you are right, who cares about the rude ones... I guess it just rubs me the wrong way because I feel like I'm a pretty good person so when someone attacks me for no reason... it's like, what the hell? and then I get angry, which is something I don't like, and want to be rude right back, which is not me... So thanks all... and hugs and kisses :)

    • ANSWER:
Mine is going to be a police dog

  3. QUESTION:
    Halloween costume for my dog?
Does anyone know where I could find a Yoshi costume for my bulldog? I'm going to be Princess Peach and she's going to be my sidekick (just like real life). I've looked everywhere and all I can find are a bunch of dinosaur costumes. I suppose those could work in a pinch but I'd like to find the real thing.

    • ANSWER:
My guess is that, if you found an authentic Yoshi costume, it would be more expensive than a dog Halloween costume should be.

To do a dog Yoshi costume, you just need three things: 1. A green dinosaur costume; 2. Two ping pong balls (and one Sharpie); 3. and some red felt.

Make the eyes with the ping pong balls and the Sharpie; glue them to the top of the dino costume. Use red felt to create the stuff down it's back and tail (fins?).

Make it easy on yourself . . . everyone will get it.

  4. QUESTION:
What are some things my brother could be for halloween?
My brother is 4, but he's a tall for his age. He's been a football player, lion, astronaut, and some kind of bird (his first halloween). He looks cute in anything you put him in, but I'm trying to get some ideas of what he might be for halloween. Please don't any animals, like dogs, cats, dinosaurs, or anything like that. I'm just trying to get an idea, so he'll have some costumes to choose from. Ideas?

    • ANSWER:
      coke can
      fries
      burger
      pirate
      cop
or just ask him what he wants to be

  5. QUESTION:
    Pet Halloween Costume HELP!?
I plane to dress my dog up as a dinosaur for halloween this year. I thought that it would be cool to use the costume again, but transform it into a dragon for next year. I was wanting ideas on what to add to make it more dragon-ish. I was thinking wings for sure, maybe seeing if i could add something that looks like its breathing fire. Any ideas are helpful!

This is the dinosaur costume ill be using:

    • ANSWER:
If you just added wings, everyone would know it's a dragon! You could try giving it a longer snout (im not sure how good you are at a sewing machine) then add fire to it. For an extra effect, give it a mean look by sewing black felt over it's eyes so that it looks angry!
